This has been reported a few times on this list, but no real solution.
 It seems to have an interrupt conflict with an external TS-SER4 card,
if you are using one:

Also it seems to slow down then stop all by itself as well.  See the

Reportedly you can unload & re-load the module to get it working again.

Probably.  If you can reproduce this (sounds like you can), I'd
contact TS via email.  (Remember this ML has no official TS
participation).
