Hallo to all members of this group!
I've recently bought a 7260 Board with this nice USB Wifi Dongle.
After I had a hard time to figure out how to get the dongle "to run",
I experienced to use the zdb.o driver (at least it looks like).
This is the Kernel I'm working with:
Linux version 2.4.26-ts11 (gcc version 3.3.4) #22
This is the Wifi from Iogear:
D1211B - http://zd1211.ath.cx/ - r83
Based on www.zydas.com.tw driver version 2.5.0.0
usb.c: registered new driver zd1211b
Release Ver = 4810
EEPORM Ver = 4810
PA type: 0
Airoha AL2230S_RF
AllowedChannel = 000107ff
Region:16
And this is my ifonfig of wlan0:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:21:79:C2:68:85
inet addr:192.168.0.100 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:127 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:127
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
Here are the questions:
Why does iwconfig not work?
Master/Managed/Ad-Hoc Mode?
I actually can't ping nor telnet nor http the board?
The USB Debian version just crashes. I don't know why.
Okay that's all I know not very specific, but I hope to find a bit help.
Thank you,
Tobias Krieger (newbie)
