Hi everyone!
I installed lenny armel on a TS-TPC-7390 using the help and
procedure from Ted Roth (http://ted.openavr.org/Lenny-on-ts7390/). I
am currently trying to get the XServer to work, with no success. I am
running into what is apparently a display frequency issue..?
Here is the difference between the log from the Xorg in the etch
distribution that TS ships (7.1.1) vs. latest lenny package (1.4.2-7)
Original XOrg:
(II) FBDEV(0): hardware: TS7370 (video memory: 750kB)
(II) FBDEV(0): checking modes against framebuffer device...
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "1024x768" ok
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "800x600" ok
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "640x480" ok
(II) FBDEV(0): checking modes against monitor...
(--) FBDEV(0): Virtual size is 800x480 (pitch 800)
(**) FBDEV(0): Default mode "800x600": 36.0 MHz (scaled from 0.0
MHz), 35.2 kHz, 56.2 Hz
(II) FBDEV(0): Modeline "800x600" 36.00 800 824 896 1024 600 601
603 625 +hsync +vsync
(**) FBDEV(0): Default mode "640x480": 25.2 MHz (scaled from 0.0
MHz), 31.5 kHz, 60.0 Hz
(II) FBDEV(0): Modeline "640x480" 25.20 640 656 752 800 480 490
492 525 -hsync -vsync
(==) FBDEV(0): DPI set to (75, 75)
New Xorg:
(II) FBDEV(0): hardware: TS7370 (video memory: 750kB)
(II) FBDEV(0): checking modes against framebuffer device...
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "1024x768" test failed
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "800x600" test failed
(II) FBDEV(0): mode "640x480" test failed
(II) FBDEV(0): checking modes against monitor...
(--) FBDEV(0): Virtual size is 800x480 (pitch 800)
(**) FBDEV(0): Built-in mode "current": 31.5 MHz, 31.8 kHz, 61.1 Hz
(II) FBDEV(0): Modeline "current"x0.0 31.50 800 824 864 992 480
489 492 520 -hsync -vsync -csync (31.8 kHz)
(==) FBDEV(0): DPI set to (96, 96)
Has anyone gotten a board to work with a different X server than the
original one? Does anyone know where I can get the exact source code
for the 7.1.1 version TS uses? What can I do?
All help is gladly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alberto
