Hi Recardo,
>From your post I think you are using the development console board
plugged into the JTAG header which also has the console serial
connection as TTL signals.
Here are a few of my thoughts...
A. Have the console PCB installed the wrong way round? It overhangs
the side of the 7390 PCB.
B. Are you using a NULL modem cable between your PC and the 7390?
C. Have you set the baud rate on your terminal program to 115,000baud.
D. Try linking pin 2 and 3 on your USB serial connector and ensure
that what you type is echoed back.
E. Plug in a USB keyboard and see if you can access the console via
the X-Window system.
F. Try the 7390 system out on PC with a known good terminal configuration.
Let me know if these don't help and I'll try and come up with some
more ideas.
