Hi,
How would one detect that the wireless adapter device has been
plugged in, programmatically? i.e. no terminal device on ttyAM0
to see system messages.
For example, I can detect when a USB memory stick is in because the
directory structure /dev/scsi/hostx/bus0/... is created upon plug-in.

 I looked at /var/log, nothing there. In /proc, there's a lot of
subdirectories seemingly associated with PID's, but the one of
interest seems to be associated with udhcpc, which I run AFTER I know
the device is in place. I couldn't find anything in /dev either that
would tell me if it's in or out.

I examined dmesg, and there could be something there that would help,
but that's a pretty long parse.

Any ideas or suggestions for me?

Thanks,
John
