Subject: | [ts-7000] TS-7800 Read Only File System to Improve Embedded Reliability |

I am wanting to increase the reliability of the my TS-7800, which will be deployed in a completely embedded application that only has a simple power switch. I know that most of the file system can be mounted read only to improve reliability except for some directories such as /var, but I am not exactly clear on how to go about setting this up. I think you can use a ramdisk for the directories that must be read write, but I am not experienced with creating a ramdisk or knowing what has to be read/write. Could someone please explain the steps necessary to make this happen or point me in the direction of a tutorial of some sort? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
