I sent a few emails about this, and this is what I got. Perhaps if
enough of us express interest it will be completed sooner rather than
later. I also wanted to do a quadrature decoder, as well as pwm
output. I started trying to use the Lattice tools, but I got stuck at
loading the FPGA, I think.

Hello Stephen,
This is on our "to do" list, but unfortunately we have a long list and
this is not as high a priority as some of the other items.
I am guessing it is still a couple months away.
