Hi.
There was a comment a few days ago, referring to a 7800 board, that said
don't bother trying to do this using a 2.4 kernel. -> that kernel has major
bugs when it
comes to USB/ serial converters
Is this the group's general experience? I have been using a variety of USB
Serial adapters, and
they seem to work fine in my lab, but out in the field I get all sorts of
grief. Missing data,
disappearing /dev/usb/tts devices, crash on device insertion.
If this is not down to my lack of knowledge and ability, but I am in fact
flogging a dead horse,
it's not good news but at least I won't continue to waste time and effort.
Is it the general consensus that I should put my efforts into trying to move to
a 2.6.21
kernel? I like the TS7250 and am more than happy with the 32MB RAM/32MB Flash
boards.
Would like to hear from people.
Martin
