no, not really. I asked around but the developers that I talked to
said  something along the lines, "I don't know the history of ARM 2.4
development. I just use __ioremap." So I guess I've just joined that
camp. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious.

I've used 2.6 since 2.6.0 on my desktop. My embedded projects over the
past 4-5 years haven't needed 2.6. My customers are more interested in
sticking with a board vendor's distro than tweaking for performance.


Will switch if necessary though.
