I believe I've seen some posts on this subject in the past, you may want
to search the archives. I think you should be able to run your script
from a shell prompt; if it doesn't work there then you should get error
messages to assist you in debugging it. If it does work, then I seem to
remember there are issues with the environment being different in a
startup script from a normal shell. (For one thing, environment
variables are different but I think there may be other things too...)
