It's in the / directory of the initrd. This is the third partition
(part 1 = VFAT, part 2 = kernel, part 3 = initrd, part 4 = debian root fs)

Replace the file. You can either mount the initrd from full debian
boot, or from a Linux PC. I would recommend the latter, that way if
something goes wrong you'll already be set up to fix any problems on the
SD card from the PC. (worst case, you can always recover the partition
from a backup you've made)

Except that /lib is a symlink to the lib directory on the SD card so
that binaries on the SD root partition will have access to it.
