...I think this is a 'Linux' question rather than a TS-7xxx question. I
suppose [sh]dparm do not work?
Once you have Linux running on an ARM chip, a yucky x86 chip, SPARC, Alpha,
whatever it all behaves the same. From an administrators and end user
perspective.
As the TS-7800 comes with a shiny label 'embedded', no video out,
keyboard/mouse in, etc does not make it behave in a special manner. No
"magic pixie dust" is needed to make it work[1], it is just a regular
computer. The TS-7800 is more full blown 'computer' than embedded device I
would say, anyone who has used Sun hardware would be completely comfortable
with it. Now if you were faffing with Gumstix[2] or Calao's[3] kit...
Please explore all the *Linux* forums on questions firstly on questions like
this, with the exception if you are asking questions regarding anything then
lurks in ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/.
Damnit, I really need to get my time sorted and put up a wiki/faq on all
this then I can start dealing with these like I do with our helldesk; "it's
on the wiki..."
/me ponders unholy thoughts with <blink/> tags
Cheers
Alex
[1] unless you are doing kernel/driver work then thats a different ballgame
