My testing was done around the 2.6.21 to early 2.6.22-rc time frame,

I read that recently the RT / HRT patches have been re-factored so
that they can be fully git-bisectable. As you said, x86 is OK, but
ARM may not be fixed up yet, AFAIK.
2.6.23.12-rt14 seems to be well-tested with ARM.
Very recently 2.6.25.4-rt1 was announced:
