I have been developing Windows kernel drivers for 15+ years
and have decided it’s time for a change. After attending a course on
embedded Linux, I also decided to purchase an embedded board so I can continue
learning Linux and the embedded world. I decided on the TS-7800 (mainly for the
many hardware devices on it). It wasn’t until after I made the purchase
that I found this mailing list.
So my question…Did I purchase the right board? I have
been browsing through past emails and it seems like the TS-7800 may have issues
with the kernel completeness and building simple applications. Is this true or
am I misreading the threads? I want to learn, but not be side tracked with
configuration problems that may not have been there with another product.
I plan on running Debian 4.0 r3 on my desktop and to do
cross compilations.
Thanks for any insight!!
