So you may want to send a mail with a new thread to
ask what people have been using for their interfaces,
and what LCDs and software exists, with reasonably
generic interfaces. Eg. are you talking LCD panel
with graphics or a 4x16 LCD with simple text strings.
From the sounds of your requirements, I would suggest
looking at the x86 boards first, and then if an ARM board
has some specific feature that beats-out an x86 board,
head that route.
