I had this exact same error, unfortunatly it was about 4 months ago
and I cannot remeber exactly what the cause was as when I was setting
up wireless as I got a bunch of different errors until I finally got
it working.
I think this one was due to using zd.o with a Zydas 1211b chipset.
you may want to check the serial on your wireless chipset. If it
turnes out that you have the b chipset, use zdb.o instead.
One other issue I had was when using DHCP with a particular version
of the kernel so make sure you have the latest as I think it was
Micheal from TS that fixed this for me and updated the latest ts11
kernel. This was not an issue with static IP so to check it out you
could just change your settings to static and look for the error.
