Yes! this is exactly what I was trying to do. I already have a USB sound card, so it would not make any sense to buy a PC104 SB board .

Hi --

Kernel headers should be already in the kernel source code tarball.

The 2.4 kernel, either vanilla or TS, does not have alsa, only OSS.
So you have to build all of alsa, plus the kernel modules. Is this
what you are trying?
