You didn't look far enough back :-)

It's an FAQ.
0.1 secs is not the TS default. However a some people think that setting 
the wait to time to 1 will cause a wait of 1 sec.

Make sure you have disabled ALL flow control, and parity in minicom, and be 
quick with the ctrl+C
