Huh? When you 'compile' it, insmod is not involved,
so this makes no sense.

If you obtain the source code for your running
kernel on your ts7300 *and* you build that kernel
and your driver using the identical compiler used
to built that kernel, you should be able to
insmod to the board without having to change
the kernel.
If TS are now shipping a kernel with insmod disabled,
then yeah, you'd have to figure out how to update the
kernel on the TS card. But as far a TS's web site is
concerned:
TS-Kernel 2.4.26, is shipped by default
So it should be the same as described in my document.
