Thanks for the pointer. I tried following the howto you pointed out.
It requires that you use a switch that points to a "full configured
source for the Linux kernel" that the drivers are to be used with. I
pointed it to the sources that use to rebuild my kernel.
When I do that, I get a number of redefinition errors between the alsa
driver sources and the kernel source. Am I doing something stupid?
