Hi,

can someone advise on a method for extending the bare bones TSlinux
image into something more useful.

It's a nice compact base but not actually much use for a specific
project without a number of additions.

I've got a prototype of what I need on the "full" debian image
supplied by TS with a few extras but this clearly has many deps that
are not in the bare bones image. This works over nfs.

I probably need to build stripped down versions of a number of
packages (no doc and remove some options that pull in unwanted deps)
and repack them to .deb for installation on the target SBC.

I have crosstools set up on Debian 3.1 for the rebuilding needed.

Before diving in I thought I'd poll for ideas , suggestions and
caveats to avoid.

many thanks, Jacques.
