'm also a newbie in 7200 development. I have a TS-7260 with the SD
card hardware. Thank you, Romain, for the answer to Steve's question.
Still, it brings up another question -- where are the options to
fconfig documented? What devices can we boot from, and what are their
device names?
E.g., can I boot from SD? If so, do I also use /dev/hda1?
Can I boot from USB? If so, what device?
Finally, I've seen reference to support for fast boot on the 7260.
>From context, I gather that it involves booting into a RAM disk. But
how do I set up the RAM disk, how do I load it with an image, what is
the device name, and where do I put the distro? If it's truly RAM,
then how does it work to fast boot at power up? The RAM image can't
survive power cycling, can it?
Thanks much. The Technologic documentation leaves a lot to be desired
for the newbie. E.g., it lists a lot of utilities that aren't part of
the TS-Linux/busybox distro, so I guess we have to first bring up one
of the Debian distros before trying any of them out.
