AFAIK the ep93xx PATA patches were never pushed upstream by Lennert.
There's a patch, and followup discussion, at:
http://marc.info/?l=linux-ide&m=117001700116724&w=2. There's also a
patch at:
http://svn.wantstofly.org/kernel/ep93xx-pata.diff
Slightly different, I'm not sure which is more current / correct.
Both have some changes to drivers/ata/libata-core.c, which probably
need to be fixed up to apply to current kernels. Maybe ask on
linux-ide or linux-arm-kernel list.
Oh, I think it would be /dev/sda1 in 2.6 kernels, not /dev/hda1.
