Yan,

Are you patching the kernel with the SPCA5XX-LE driver? The SPCA5XX driver (non-LE version) crashes for me but LE works just fine. # Grab the spca5xx-LE patch: wget http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca50x/embedded/KernelPatch/linux-2.4.31-716LE08.patch.tgz # Extract it and patch the TS kernel source: tar xzvf linux-2.4.31-716LE08.patch.tgz cd linux24 cat ../linux-2.4.31LE09.patch | patch -p1 # Then prepare to compile the kernel, and remember to choose the SPCA driver configuration: ... make menuconfig # Choose Multimedia devices -> v4l # Choose USB Support -> SPCA5XX I hope that helps.
