Hi Andy,

I'll see if I can put a example program together tonight.

The function I have outputs a date and time stamped uncompressed BMP 
file and saves it to the second SD card (as the first is usually 
running read only).

I'll also show what I do to load the compressed bitmaps into the 
screens (not pretty but it works for me).
