Interesting, it worked here when I tested this...
> :input# pwd
> /lib/modules/2.4.26-ts11/kernel/drivers/input
> :input# ls
> input.o keybdev.o mousedev.o
> :input# modinfo mousedev
> modinfo: mousedev: no module by that name found
> :input#
Try giving the full path to the filename.
e.g.
modinfo mousedev.o
--
