I have had a search, and can't find the answer to this.
I have a TS-SER1 on a 7250. It was delivered configured with COM5 and IRQ4, so
I haven't
altered this.
The device appears as /dev/tts/4 which is believable assuming tts is numbered
from 0
and COM from COM1.
Running a getty on it (/sbin/getty -L 115200 /dev/tts/4) results in sporadic
output of part
of the login prompt, so I am fairly sure the IRQ are not configured properly.
At boot time:
ttyS04 at 0x89c003a8 (irq = 40) is a 16550A
And setserial -a:
$ setserial -a /dev/tts/4
/dev/tts/4, Line 4, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x89c003a8, IRQ: 40
Baud_base: 115200, close_delay: 50, divisor: 0
closing_wait: 3000
Flags: spd_normal skip_test
Is there a good description of the relationship between 'DOs-type' IRQ and
Linux-type
IRQ? Or are they actually the same?
I used setserial /dev/tts/4 irq 4 to match the jumper setting, but now I get no
login
prompt at all.
The Linxu for ARM on TS7000 Users guide has section on SERX PC104 Peripherals,
which
reads 'TODO'.
I would happy to write and post a Serial Port HOWTO, given the required
information.
Regards,
Martin
