I am using half duplex. Two wires on pin 1 & 6 of the COM2 header.

I have already done that. I am trying to transfer a small, working
program from my Linux desktop machine to the 7200.
>the wires are hooked up, communications parameters are correct,
I've tried reversing the wires and the receive LED stops flashing so
I assume they are correct.
> At least with the TS 4 port serial board, you have to turn the
transmitter on and off manually with every transmission.
The 7200 is supposed to do this automatically, if I read it
correctly.
I am able to talk to the devices on my Linux PC using Python, so I
don't think timing is the problem. I'm more concerned about the port
settings. All the CS8 and PARENB flags and such. All the examples I
have found are for ASCII mode, not RTU, and I'm not sure I have all
those flags set right.
