Hi,

If you modify the startup scrip in the second partition you can have
the fat and vfat modules loaded automatically at power up.

My application looks for a known file on the thumbdrive when it needs
to access the device, and then if it's not found issues a 'system'
function call to mount the thumbdrive and then checks again to see if
it mounted correctly. After the system has written to the thumbdrive
it performs a system call to unmount the thumbdrive to allow removal.
The user doesn't need to do anything.

I have no experience with QT and microwindows - I rolled my own
functions for everything I needed.

If you'd like code snippets for the thumbdrive mounting - as long as
you promise not to laugh at the code - I could post the function I
wrote.

Regards,

PJE
