Replying to myself again incase anyone else has an issue where the
7400 with zd1211 wireless locking up.

Aparently we have a flaky switch with a Linksys AP connected to it.
It goes into some wiered state every now and then and when it does
the 7400 / zd1211 locks up ( all kernel process freeze) with no
shell / kernel panic or error displayed.

This happens even if the 7400 is not configured / attached to the
Access point, as soon as I issue a ifconfig wlan0 up, the system
freezes.

I'm guessing that the AP is broadcasting some corrupt wireless data
and the 7400 / zd driver is not handling it very gracefully.

Rebooting the Linksys AP resolves the issue.
