Today I found that the RTC (ST Micro M48T86PC1) on my TS-7260 does not
change when I change the date/time using the 'date' command at the
shell or if I use the 'mktime' command in my application. It seems
that changing system time does not affect the RTC so when rebooting
the time reverts to RTC time and any changes are lost.
I could get around this problem my programming a time adjustment
factor and saving this on the flash and readjust the system time every
time I start the TS-7260, but this probably not the best method.
Is there a small utility that synchronizes the RTC to match the
current system time of the TS-7260 so my time will be correct next
time I boot without any adjustment?
