[ts-7000] compile linux24_ts8 using arm-linux-gcc 3.4

I am trying to compile linux24_ts8 using the arm-linux-gcc 3.4.
however i get a lot of warming messages as follows.

"warning: use of compound expressions as lvalues is deprecated"

and I can generate vmlinux.bin. when it run on the ts7200 board. i get
the follow messag

as for the kernel command i use

"exec -r 0x1000000 -s 0x430000 0x218000 -c "root=/dev/ram0
console=ttyAM0" "

however i get the information from ttyAM0 is 
 
Kernel command line: root=/dev/mtdblock1 console=ttyAM0,115200

who can tell what is wrong.
