Dave,
It seems you do not have a dns configured, so the ts is not able to
translate hosts names into ip addresses.
I had the same problem, and i resolved it doing the following:
#vi /etc/resolv.conf
there add the line:
nameserver "dnsaddres"
Where dnsaddress is the ip address of the dns of your internet provider.
