If I'm not wrong, one of the latest TS-2.4 kernels supports I2S/CS4271 on the TS-7400 (I don't remember if with ALSA or OSS). Anyway, as I have already said before, the driver is far from being perfect... :-| If you don't want to move to the 2.6 (TS-unsupported) kernel, you can do the following: 1. Compile ALSA driver for the 2.4 kernel (I added a mini how-to months ago) 2. Load the ALSA moduled when required The current ALSA driver does not contain I2S support the EP93XX, so you have to add it (there are some patches around) and write support for your CODEC (this part will never be integrated in ALSA, since each TS-7400 can potentially use a different CODEC which uses different IO pins).
