There must be something here I haven't understood.
I've downloaded:
wget
ftp://oz.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-linux-cd/binaries/ts-images/fastboot-7300-sdcard-7-6-2006.dd.bz2
uncompressed, and transferred to a Kingmax M-series MLC-SD 512MB SD card:
dd if=fastboot-7300-sdcard-7-6-2006.dd of=/dev/sda
Subsequently fdisk shows the three partitions as expected, and mounting
/dev/sda3 gives access to a normal looking filesystem.
The change to SDBOOT:
$ ls -F /mnt/root/sbin/t*
/mnt/root/sbin/tune2fs* /mnt/root/sbin/telinit@
/mnt/root/sbin/tsbootrom-update* /mnt/root/sbin/tc*
$ /mnt/root/sbin/tsbootrom-update -s
verifydat=0x5ef72b7
lockdat=ffffffff0000000022066ed1000000d06940617b
verifylen=0
mac="ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff"
$
Then (IIRC) inserting the Kingmax card in the socket and rebooting gives
>> TS-SDBOOT - built Oct 17 2006
>> Copyright (c) 2006, Technologic Systems
.
.
.
>> TS-SDBOOT - built Oct 17 2006
>> Copyright (c) 2006, Technologic Systems
That is, after the three dots, the TS-7400 just sits until I press the
reset button or cycle power. Typeing in through the TS-9441 makes no
difference.
Insight?
