I'm going to try this again since I didn't get any takers the first
time. First, I was mistaken in my last post when I wrote:
"I did redirect and echo to /dev/ttyAM1 and see show up in hyperterm
so I know data will go out of the port."
That was not really true. Some data does go out /dev/ttyAM1 but it's
garbled. Telling me it's misconfigured.
So, let me ask this. What do the terminal emulator (hyperterm)
settings need to be to read data from the COM2 port by default. And
how do you change the COM2 settings to talk to a different device
such as my Satellite modem which uses 38400 8N1 Hardward.
