This may be the second posting of the same problem. It didn't seem to
work the first time.

I have a Satellite modem connected to the COM2 (ttyAM1) port on a 7260
but I can not get any responce out of it. I know it works, since I
connect it to my PC and can both create a dial up connection to it or
use hyperterm to get a response (ATZ OK)and dial out(#777) no problem.
But when I connect it to the 7260 and use Minicom, microcom or pppd I
don't get any responce. All the settings are correct, I use setserial
to make sure the port is configured, I commented out the getty command
in /etc/inittab. Still no responce?

I did redirect and echo to /dev/ttyAM1 and see show up in hyperterm so
I know data will go out of the port. This seems so straightforward,
what did I miss?

Bill
