sorry i forgot to tell you :
you must add a cgi-bin alias if needed
 
also add
 
Add "+ExecCGI" to the options list in the dirstory tag. :
Options +ExecCGI
 
also you may need to add index,cgi (for example) as a directory index

 
you must add it to the cgi-bin directory of the apache and the you can issue the follwoing url at the web browser http://x.x.x.x/cgi-bin/perlscriptfile
 
note don't forget the invocation line ar rge beginning which provides the path of prel ex.
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
 
also i think it's better  to test it using the same scripts in your host env.
