Try fixing the issue below, if you still see this problem please
answer the following questions. Did you make any modifications to
the kernel? What is your CROSS_COMPILE variable set to in the
toplevel Makefile of the kernel source code?

This should work fine, assuming you modifed the toplevel Makefile in 
the kernel source code to point to your crosscompiler.
