Hmm, what type of camera is it?
Is it a end user camera or some to-be-built-in camera?
Can you do the following:
1) Plug it in to the TS-7250, run 'dmesg' and provide me the last lines
of output
2) Run 'lsusb' (if it's not available on TS-7250 standard environment
you might try booting into the full debian in some way)
3) specify as much info as possible about the camera
Ps.
If you feel you need a linux installation to fiddle with but don't want
to install one you can always try knoppix or some other live-cd linux
distros. (http://www.knoppix.net) Simply download a knoppix image, burn
it on a cd, reboot your computer,(maybe have to change to cd-booting in
bios),wait for knoppix boot promt to appear, follow the instructions
(like write knoppix or knoppix26 or something) ,sit back and watch
knoppix start
Ds.
