Hi.
You are asking for how to access the RTC. This should not be
necessary. There is a program, compiled as part of busybox, called
hwclock. This can set the system time from the RTC, and vice versa.
You can download a copy of busybox from HERE <http://www.busybox.net> to
read the source for hwclock.
When the system boots, it should set the system time from the RTC
automatically.
Here is the usage info for hwclock:
hwclock [-r|--show] [-s|--hctosys] [-w|--systohc] [-l|--localtime]
[-u|--utc]
So if it is incorrect, you can set the time using 'date' then 'hwclock
-w' to write the system time to the RTC. In my experience the RTC is
not very accurate.
