It is the ARM instruction set.  Specifically, Cirrus uses the ARM920T
core from ARM.  You can program in ARM or Thumb.  ARM is faster, Thumb 
is denser.

The ARM core "bible" is the ARM ARM (Architecture Reference Manual) 
published by Addison-Wesley and I would recommend getting that book if 
you're interested in the ARM core.
