It is already done for you, and the drivers should already be installed. The UARTs are implemented in the FPGA and have transmit and receive buffers. There may be one or two of the first com ports that are implemented in the Cirrus SOC chip with the Arm processor, I am not sure there. But, in any case, it is all handled for you. I can give some example serial port code if you are interested. Don.
