Ok, I would be interested to take a look at your code to compare how you did it. I have been wanting to get back and clean up my code and make a gateway for some time now. We should help out TS and have a gateway so that it would be easy to implement a modbus gateway on their hardware. I have had my code up and running for long periods of times talking to other implementations of Modbus, such as Sixnet RTUs and Siemens PLC through a Sixnet bridge. My code is based on a project to translate HP-RTU protocol to Modbus to connect an existing SCADA system to a GE RTU because the vender would not do a driver for them. That ran for over 5 years before they replaced the SCADA system. I wrote a Modbus server for testing that.

Don:
I just got mine done as well. I have a Modbus TCP server to Modbus
RTU master gateway.
I will post my code Monday; I really need a reality check on my code
and I think it would be great to have another open source
implementation to check against.
I've tried checking with closed-source utilities but the checks are of
limited value as I don't know what they are doing....
