It might be easier to just add the RS-232 level converters to the 7400, it is only a single chip, look at a past thread, and maybe you can write the person directly and ask him how it works.

I am sure that TS will eventually sell one daughter baoard for the TS-7400 that has the level converters for the RS-232, DIO signal conditioning, AI signal conditioning (0-10 V or 0-20 mA), zigbee socket, etc, all sliding into a Hammonds case with pigtails for some of the things since there would not be enough room to have connectors for everything.

But, they can not be all things to all people, give them time.

I may end up using the 7300 for now until someone comes up with a
board for the TTL converter or a direct plugin for the LCD/Keyboard. I
dont have much time to create designs for this.

If I stick with the 7300 my biggest problem now is to find a way to do
Audio. I need the speaker to be housed in the enclosure. Would you by
any chance know how I could perform this feat. Is a USB speaker
feasible? I just need to play some audio files.

Maybe when you make the daughterboard I will buy a couple off of you.

Thanks again,
