i install the module cs89x0.o
and then,

$ifconfig eth0 down
$ifconfig eth1 down
$ifconfig eth1 up
>eth1: using half-duplex 100Base-T (RJ-45)
$ifconfig -a
>eth1     Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:D0:69:40:55:47
>          inet addr:192.168.0.51 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask
..........
>          Interupt:33 Base adress: 0x300
..........
>lo .......
so i have eth1 up and only eth1 up....

then i:
$ping 192.168.0.5
>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
.....
