The partitions numbers are zero-indexed, so TS-BOOTROM is /dev/mtdblock/0.

TS-BOOTROM contains the code that loads and starts RedBoot. If you mess up
this partition your board will not boot (without a special blast board).
The Linux partition contains the root filesystem which is normally based on
YAFFS. If you mess up this partition you will need to specify another root
filesystem to the kernel, such as NFS. If you mess up the RedBoot partition
you might accidentally corrupt the actual redboot "executable" or the actual
redboot code, or you might corrupt part of RedBoot's "filesystem" (fis
list), or you may get lucky and corrupt a region that isn't in use.
