Pete,

What is your environment?
The answer depends upon whether you want to run gdb on a separate
host, or natively. If you're compiling on a separate host, install gdb from
the same place you got your compiler, and run gdbserver on your target.
I'll leave the details for someone else to cover, since I'm getting
ready to leave
for a few days...
