Thanks to everyone for your helpful suggestions- I will try SerialBlaster and if that doesn't work, I'll try the daughterboard option. However, I still have the original problem that led me here: I was trying to install NetBSD and followed the directions to the letter and I hit a dead end- RedBoot wouldn't let me delete the TS-Linux Flash partition, so I couldn't install the NetBSD kernel.
