[ts-7000] Terminal appearing on ttyAM1

Recently we bought a TS 7260 board and have faced a problem in using its serial ports. The COM1 or the ttyAM0 is the terminal output and it works fine as described in documentation. The problem is with regards to ttyAM1, the terminal appears in the ttyAM1 as well and we have been unable to use it for any other purpose because of this. Is there anyone else who faced the same problem? Any known workarounds?
